Contribution from Turkish American Cultural Center in to the Chicago Immigration Law

Illinois Senator Tammy Duckworth invited the high ranking officials of the state, business world, education, art and culture as well as religion to discuss about the immigration bill. On behalf of the Turkish Society, the management of the Turkish American Society of Chicago was present at the Devry University where representatives of some 40 institutions came together. During the round-table meeting, Senator stated that she was open to any ideas that may contribute to the immigration bill as well as the American Dream.

Muhittin Er, a member of the executive team of Turkish American Society of Chicago (TASC) exchanged ideas with the senator. The congress member stated that it was in their scope to collaborate with the Turkish businessmen to solve the problems regarding the immigration bill.

Senator also underlined that any ideas are of high importance even if they are not related to the bill but matters that may contribute to the society and the development of the State. She informed that it will be of her utmost pleasure to contact the members of society with ideas and comments.
